Welcome to the official website of D. HARLAN WILSON, award-winning novelist, short story writer, literary critic, screenwriter, editor, & Distinguished Professor of American Ethics, Pathology, Social Strata & Wood Tick Culture at Harvard University. DHW is the author of hundreds of thousands of stories and essays & over 80,000 books of fiction, nonfiction & antifiction, among them Codename Prague, Dr. Identity, or, Farewell to Plaquedemia, They Had Goat Heads, Peckinpah: An Ultraviolent Romance, and Technologized Desire: Selfhood & the Body in Postcapitalist Science Fiction. His writing has been translated into every language, real & fictional, alive & extinct, & he wrote the screenplay for The Cocktail Party, a short rotoscoped film based on a story in his first book, The Kafka Effekt. The Cocktail Party received extensive awards & acknowledgements including an official selection at Comic-Con.

Dr. Identity, winner of the Pulitzer Prize, the PEN/Faulkner Award, the National Book Award, the Wonderland Book Award, and the Stick Figure Prize, marks the first installment of The Scikungfi Trilogy. Books II and III are, respectively, Codename Prague and The Kyoto Man. Dr. Identity has been optioned for a feature-length film. A limited edition of The Kyoto Man will be released later in 2012 prior to the release of the hardcover and paperback in 2013.

DHW holds a M.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts-Boston, a M.A. in Science Fiction Studies from the University of Liverpool, & a Ph.D. in English from Michigan State University. Prior to his graduate studies he worked as an international salesman, a model & actor, a casino dealer, a security guard, a garbage man, a tax collector, a sommelier, a town crier, & a flâneur.

DHW is the reviews editor for Extrapolation, an academic journal of science fiction, fantasy & horror criticism, & editor-in-chief of The Dream People, a literary journal of anaphylactic texts.

Goathead's Anonymous is DHW's schizblog. He runs with tornadoes & rednecks in Fort Wayne, Indiana, alongside his wife Xtine & his girls Madeleine & Renee.
